How do I....?
... get an account?

To setup your library account, fill out our patron form. You'll need an active D# and university e-mail address.

...get research help?

A reference librarian can provide you with one-on-one research assistance! You can reach out by phone at 302-857-6180, by email at LibRef@desu.edu, or by using the LibChat on our website. You can also visit the reference desk at the W. C. Jason library. Or view one of our Research Guides to get started now!

... borrow books or access articles from other libraries?

Sometimes the resource you wish to read an article or book that isn't available through DSU's library service or you see a paywall. You can request access using Interlibrary Loan, a free service through partnerships with other libraries worldwide to help you access materials DSU doesn't subscribe to or own. Visit our Interlibrary Loan page to learn more.

...request a library instruction session?

To request an information literacy session, email libref@desu.edu.  Please include the requested date and time, number of students, academic discipline, and your preferences for research topics and/or resources you would like the library staff to cover in the session. 

...create e-Reserves?

Electronic faculty reserves provide online access to library materials placed on reserve by professors for students enrolled in their courses. DSU Libraries uses LibGuides Electronic Reserves (ERes), a powerful system designed specifically for electronic reserves in academic libraries, to provide round-the-clock access service.
