Many of these websites share current topics and advocacy in the field of criminal justice. Most do not contain original research or peer-reviewed resources, but they can be a great start for brainstorming topics or ideas that you can dive into more deeply within our databases and reference resources.

National Center for Juvenile Justice
National Institute of Corrections
The National Institute of Corrections (NIC) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. It provides training, technical assistance, information services, and policy/program development assistance to federal, state, and local corrections agencies.
Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center
OVC TTAC is the gateway to current training and technical assistance for victim service providers and allied professionals who serve crime victims.
Senate Judiciary Commmittee
Deals with legislation relating to criminal justice and judicial administration. The Committee is also tasked with considering the President's nominees for federal judgeships, including Supreme Court justices. One of the most important functions of the Committee is to provide oversight of the Department of Justice, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
U.S. Sentencing Commission
The United States Sentencing Commission is an independent agency in the judicial branch of government. It establishes sentencing policies and advises Congress on sentencing issues.
